CrossFit – Hope at St. Jude Children\’s Research Hospital (video)

CrossFit for Hope will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The goal is to raise 1.7MM – one day’s operating cost for St. Jude – to combat childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Register to participate or find an athlete or affiliate to sponsor and join the fight. Click here to set up a profile, it is super easy, especially if you already have a login from doing the Open.  Don’t wait, do it now http://hope.crossfit.com/

“Hope”

Three rounds of:
Burpees
75 pound Power snatch
Box jump, 24″ box
75 pound Thruster
Chest to bar Pull-ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.

Post to facebook and send out emails to all your friends to help you reach your fundraising goal.  Mine read like this (feel free to copy and paste):

Greetings everyone!  I’m participating in an event to raise money for St. Jude’s.  We’re trying to raise enough money to operate the Hospital for a single day ($1.7 million).  My personal goal is to raise at least $300.    We’re going to do a nice workout, and raise money at the same time.  If you would like to give a little, please click on the link below.  It is an easy process.
Thank you very much either way,
Jake
